Dear All, I want to insert the abbreviation of millisecond (which is quite similar to "us")in the Unix FrameMaker. Any hints? Thanks.

I've never used Unix Framemaker in my life, so I can't really help, but one tip: there is not a special symbol of microseconds (I think you meant, rather than milliseconds) - it is just typed as a greek lower case letter mu ( ๏ฟฝ ) and an Latin letter s. (Milliseconds is just "ms")... so it's the mu symbol you need to be looking for.

Hi, Alice: Look in the OnlineManuals directory in the FM installation directory for CharacterSets.pdf There's a table of all characters in fonts (pre-OpenType) and the equivalent keystrokes or codes they need. Also look for MultiplePlatforms.pdf which has platform-specific notes. HTH Regards, Peter Gold KnowHow ProServices

Hi, David, Thanks for clarifying my question. Yes, you are right. I wanted the greek lower case letter mu. Peter, I know the CharacterSets, pdf is quite helpful for inserting some special characters, but unfortunately I don๏ฟฝt find how to insert greek lower case letter mu.
