Converting FM8 Book to HTML

Hi All,

I'm trying to relearn FM and have the TCS with FM8. I created a simple book and saved it as HTML, and have the following issues that I hope you can help me with:

Issues:
If there is any text or an image between numbered steps, the numbering restarts. For example:
1. Do this
2. Do the following:
   --Do this
   --Do that
1. Do this.
   For example:
   {Image]
1. Do this.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, on the Reference page's Book(HTML) table, I put the HTML code for the EndofFirstSubDoc ("Return to Main Page" and "Go to Next Page" in)in the Replace With cell, but the page also shows the "Go to Previous Page" link from the EndofSubDoc code, so it seems to not recognize the first HTML page it creates as the first sub doc. Any ideas how to fix that?

Lastly, is there anyway to control the width of tables in the HTML? The table is the width of the page and looks terrible. Actually the whole thing looks pretty bad. Hopefully, if I learn more CSS, I'll be able to fix it.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Daryl

Easiest fix is to download the eval copy of MIF2Go from omsys.com and go that route....

Hi,

When you have the TCS, do not use "Save as HTML". Instead use RoboHelp which you have and which is connected to FrameMaker.

Best regards

Thanks for the help suggestions! I still would like to know why the numbering resets when there's a paragraph or image separating steps in a numbered list -- maybe it'll become apparent when I learn more about CSS.

Best,
Daryl
