Hello FrameMakers! I have created a DITA map and some topics. When I save the DITA map as PDF with bookmarks, the bookmarks contain the text of all paragraphs. But of course I would like to have only the titles as bookmarks. A solution could be to exclude all unnecessary tags in the Bookmarks tab of the PDF setup dialog. But that is quite inconvinient, since by default all tags are in the "include" box and they can only be moved to the "Don't include" box one by one. I have also tried the diversion over "Composite documents" as shown here: <http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/framemaker/videos/DITA_demo/di_dita_publishing.swf> But that delivers the same result. (... if FM doesn't crash) And finally, if I exclude the tags in advance via "Format > Document > PDF Setup", that seems to be needless: When I then perform "File > Save as PDF" all the tags are nevertheless in the "include" box in the PDF setup dialog. Can anybody give me a hint how to exclude DITA tags permanently and globally? Thank a lot in advance! Marcel

Marcel, I can answer only one of your questions, the one that all tags are in the Include list by default. I also thought you could only move them one by one, but someone on this forum told me you could move them all at once by holding down the Shift key and then clicking the right arrow button to move them all at once from the Include list to the Exclude list. Then it is much easier to move the ones you want back to the Include list. Once you set it up and save the document, it remembers what is in the Include list the next time you open the document. In my opinion, the default should be to have all the tags in the Exclude list initially because no one would ever want all paragraphs listed in the bookmarks. I do not know how to change the default behavior. Van
