I am new to this forum and thank you for your instructive comments, knowing you are all a bit more educated on this subject than I. I have been a loyal user of GoLive 5.0 since 2001. I own my own business, an art gallery, and used GoLive to create an ASP driven site that communicates with my database (created and maintained using Microsoft Access). I went through a huge learning curve in using the features of DL in GoLive, knowing that it was relatively new at that time. There was a lot of trial and error (and reading of books) in getting everything to work out--so that when you click on the thumbnails, it brings up a larger image with information, etc. I am a self-taught web designer and am a little intimidated at the fact that now that I have spent so much time figuring out how the DL features in 5.0 work and know what I need to do to pull through all of my content, I may be forced to explore other options. Then again, I wonder whether I should just keep using 5.0 since it seems to work and do what I need it to. Thanks for the comments on Dreamweaver MX and the accompanying book. One thing I have been disappointed about is that the DC in GoLive can only really be layed out using vertical columns (thus, the "repeat" feature in the DL section.) Hoping not to sound completely ignorant, does Dreamweaver allow you to set up your DC in varying formats and will it pull from a Microsoft Access database? Perhaps I am way behind the times and need to become better educated. If anyone is interested in the DC I created using the DL in GoLive 5.0, you can visit <http://www.xanadugallery.com/paintings/index.asp>
