Michael, I understand your point; however, Windows Vista Ultimate had
an RTM date of 8 November 2006, and went retail on 1 January 2007. GoLive
9 was released on 1 June 2007. So, that argument just won't do.
Neither will that argument. It takes time for a developer to create and test an app for a new OS. And since they stopped development on April 28, 2008, it is not likely that any sort of forward compatibility patch will ever be offered.
You may have problems with a 64 bit system. Adobe only certified GL9 to work with 32bit Vista and XP.
According to the resources I've found on the web both GL8 (!) and 9 "should"
be compatible with Vista
GL CS2 works on my Vista64 machine. I never moved to GL9 but I have seen a similar screen issue with Acrobat 8 on the same machine.
