Hi, I can't for the life of me remember how to do this. I have some text in a cell of a table and wish to link to a new class style that I have made in the basic.css. The page (early stages) is at <http://www.goldenumber.co.uk/john_carter/> any help very much appreciated.

Use the CSS *palette*. It shows class styles. If you click in the text, you should see the elements you can apply the class to shown on the right. Choose an existing element (the td element, for example) to attach the class to or you will end up creating unnecessary and messy extra markup.

Thanks for that. The problem I was having was that I had named the class style table_centred and it turned this into a mark up style. One more question... what is agl-styles.css and do I need this?

Sounds like you are using Golive 9 - as I understand it, you might not need it but you are probably stuck with it.

Hi Kath, could you elaborate on that? I am only an occasional user. I did a course on golive and upgraded to v9. I have been thinking that I should learn dreamweaver or flash but I am not sure I have the time. Is this an issue with version 9? I could dig out an older version.

I'm staying with CS2. I haven't 'upgraded' since reading about the proprietary css that version 9 has, which seems to be virtually unavoidable. I don't know of any way that v9 is an improvement on CS2, it seems to be the opposite.
