I've created a link on my Web site to a PDF file which works fine when viewed from online; however, when attempting to view it in Preview mode the program freezes up and I must use Task Manager to exit the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but no change.

Thanks for any help.

Just preview in a browser, I've never seen the point of Preview mode.

I think the Preview mode is quite handy and, while I appreciate the work-around, would like to know why the tool is no longer available and how I can recover it.

Is Preview not working in general, or just not working with the PDF link? What version of GoLive?

Using GoLive 2.01. Program freezes when attempting to Preview a PDF link; otherwise, Preview works fine, and the Web site links to the PDF file without a problem.

Then I'd have to agree - just don't try previewing PDFs from Preview. In most cases, the web browser relies on server headers and user configuration for what to do with PDF files when they're selected (open via plug-in, download, etc.). I wouldn't expect a basic layout preview engine to be able to handle that sort of thing.
