Palette appearance in Ai CS4 is a step in the right direction.

There is missing me:
1 Stroke Wieight view instead of a variety as in the Control bar + art brush selection

2. The ability to copy, paste or drag&drop individual appearance to other objects or appearance other objects.

It would be at the end of an easy way to copy the effects and etc.. between objects.
And finally the possibility of departure of thousands of mini pallets pallets to display as an extension of the necessary extensions to existing tools.
