D.C.,

I have the same sort of trouble with my desktop cpu (Power Mac G5, 2 GHz). CS 3 apps crash when saving. Photoshop is usually very reliable, so for it to crash, there must be a serious issue. I have not invested the same level of effort to "fix" the problem, other that re installing cs 3 applications. No improvement with that action.

The problem surfaced about two weeks ago. I think os X 5.6 may have something to do with it. Were you successful with re-installing 5.2? I may have to borrow that sledgehammer!

My MacBook Pro has no problems-- cs 3 apps are not crashing. Thank goodness.
