I'm using Adobe Illustrator CS3 (10.?)Windows XP.(Also occurred with 
Vista Home Prem) 
This problem has ocuured on my secondary Desktop (current system), Laptop 
(now deceased!),and primary Desktop (now deceased!Too!)

On approximately 55-85% of the Illustrator files [.ai docs], I get an 
Illustrator error message:
"Adobe Illustrator
The file may be read-only or another user may have it open.
Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.
save the document with a different name or in a different folder."

After that I can't MOVE, DELETE or SAVE  the file.  For every logo, Ad, 
Graphice Elelment etc. I collect a huge number of .ai files that I can't 
do anything with.  I have a ton of storage, but this is a real problem

Anyone can help with this--PLEASE!!??.....OKAY TO RESPOND TO MY EMAIL.
