I believe it may be either a call to some windows function (which could be corrupt in the registry) or perhaps IR registry/configutation issue. I just haven't come across an answer as yet. Additionally, the issue exists with named slices as well. The issue occured in CS and CS2. I deleted PS/IR and reinstalled to no avail as well.
