Let me explain better hope I can..
It is not the url I am trying to change
I use imagemaps for all states.

example:
5 buttons as (homepage, profile, products, about us, contact)
when you come over a button, the color changes
when you click a button, the intend of the page changes.
ex: when you press profile, the text at the mane page changes and the profile text comes. They are all selected states so until you press another button, it stays.

When you press products button, the text area changes to product photos come. (note: the menu bar, top bar, bottom bar never changes. they are all same at all pages)

Now at the products selected state, I have a page with 5 photos.
Now I want to add a new state to each photo and when users click on any photo I want them to see the specifications of each product. (they are all ready at my layers window unseen.)

I made every photo layer based imagemap and selected states. When user selects one of the photos, the intend changes and the layer with the specification of that product comes.

so everything works. but when I publish the page, at the main page, althoght the product photos not seen, the area of them are selectable.
I don't want that imagemap areas be selectable at all pages but only at the products window when the photos are visible.

(so I want to continue to make selectable images with new states at a selected state )
