HELP!!! Save as not optimized

In ImageReady, to save the final product in gif format, seems like i can only "save as optimized". Izzit possible to use the "original" to save as gif? Coz there's something like a white matte ard the image after its optimized. The orignal image doesn't hav this problem. Thus wondering if there's any way i can save the oringal image instead of the optimized as gif.
