Hello =) I have previously created animated gifs in ImageReady, in fact I successfully did so just a couple months ago for a Halloween banner with blinking eyes (ugh, I know), had no problems at all. However, I am trying to create a new one with snow, and no matter what I do, including changing my optimization palette to GIF, the 'Save Optimized' function only displays HTML or JPG as save options. I feel like I have looked at every setting, I've scrutinized the IR Help, and I honestly don't know what I'm missing. I've tried custom, every GIF dither/no dither, it doesn't seem to matter what I choose for optimization, I still only get JPG or HTML as my save options. I can't even do a 'Save As' to a GIF and settle for a single frame, there is literally no GIF saving allowed, lol. I'm jumping from Photoshop to IR and creating a simple 8-frame anim that works fine in IR itself; the original file is 72 dpi, RGB color, about 25 layers, no photographic images...honestly, it's very basic. Would appreciate any step-by-step directions on how to set the Optimization palette in case I'm doing it wrong--the help file steps haven't actually, you know, helped. Oh, and I'm running Photoshop CS2 Educational version. Thanks very much! Amy
