Please help, I am new to photoshop and imagready and need some help. I opened a .mov file in Imageready and would like to apply a filter to all frames within the animation. However, when I select all the frames, the filter is only applied to the first frame. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Frank

LAYERS hold CONTENT. FRAMES determine which content is visible. If you wish to change CONTENT then you change the LAYER, not the frame

Len does this mean filters must be applied layer by layer and not all layers at once ? If there is a way, can you or anybody explain how to apply filters to all layers in an animation at once?

I guess there are several ways but it seems very helpful if the file can be saved as a PSD (File > Save as) Once it is a PSD file you can do stuff to it in Photoshop. I tried some global settings to see what would happen: 1 - Image > mode > grayscale 2 - Image > mode > Duotone 3 - pick the combination you like 4 - Image > mode > RGB 5 - save as .... .PSD 6 - close 7 - open in ImageReady I think Sets will do something pleasant but I've got to try it yet.

Hmmm (for filters) - maybe record an action then apply it to each layer in turn?

I didn't realise that Photoshop and ImageReady supported nested sets (CS). These too can add to a toolbox of effects. It would be pleasant if Filters could be applied to a single layer, a collection of layers or to all layers. Maybe you should post a feature request?

Frank That's a frustrating problem which I have myself. When applying the filters to a video clip, I have just clicked through the frames, then selected each layer manually. Then hit ctrl+F to apply the last filter. It's tedious and time-consuming. As yet I am not aware of any faster way of doing it.
