I use InCopy every day, and one thing that annoys me to no end is when I create a new document or open an existing document on my beautiful 20" iMac, by default the document occupies a window that spans my entire screen. That's not very conducive to multi-tasking. So, each and every time, I resize the window. Is there a hidden setting somewhere to change the size of InCopy document windows by default? To have it take up half a screen instead of the entire screen? Like every other Mac application out there? Oh, and I'd also rather open my documents in Story mode rather than Layout mode. Is there a way to make Story mode the default view? Thanks. InCopy CS3 Version 5.0.4 Mac OSX 10.4.11 Intel iMac

The only time I've seen InCopy open in layout view is if there is no InCopy content. Bob

Stephen, Take the following steps to address the question about the default view: 1. Start InCopy CS3. Do not open a document 2. Go to the View Menu 3. Select 'Story View' 4. Open an InCopy article It should open in that view. -Jeff -- Jeff Gapp Channel Evangelist | WoodWing USA
