How do you move a toolbar?

I'm running IC CS3 under Leopard on a Macbook. The docs say that you can move a toolbar simply by dragging it, but it doesn't work for me. The toolbar stays put; the cursor temporarily changes to a hand. I don't see a way to attach a screenshot to this message, but I can do so if anyone can help!

Here's the screenshot: <http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=16YLoWvE1Qyo8HyYdzb6LtwCLy0VDK>.

I'd like to move the Tools toolbar at the top left to the right side, by the OS Dock. I have tried grabbing every part of the toolbar and it won't budge; all that happens is that the cursor temporarily becomes a little hand.

You can place a screenshot on pixentral.com.

Copy the link here. But what exactly are you trying to move. Theres a
vertical handle on the left side of any tool than can be moved. That's
what you have to grab.

You need to grab the gray area above the IC logo and pull it out of the
dock.

I did try that, to no avail. Clicking in that area only causes changes the width of the toolbar. I do find, however, that I can move the toolbar by dragging the IC logo itself. I don't have trouble with precise mouse positioning in any other program, so the problem must lie on Adobe's end.
