Hi Anne-Marie,
Can I enlist your help? Here's my problem...
We've endeavoured to set up a ID/IC workflow so clients in remote offices can edit stories.
We've set up our Mac server as a WebDav server, and given our clients logins to access the files.
They're all PC based and using InCopy.
We're Mac based and publishing out of InDesign/InCopy.
We've published all our material in InDesign so we have published InCopy stories in a directory one level down from the InDesign files.
From what I understand, and can see in both ID & IC, our stories reside in the assignments panel, under the story name eg. "02-Introduction-20f", the actual editable frames sit two levels down under that.
So the hierarchy in the assignments panels is like this; "02-Introduction-20f / Unassigned InCopy Content / 02-Introduction-20f-Chairmans-Review".
What's driving us crazy is our client can't see the stories when they open the InDesign files with InCopy on their PC. It just pops up a message saying their aren't any stories available and they can only see the material in "Layout" view.
We've tested it remotely on another connection using our MacBook and InCopy and it works fine. No message, assignments appear and can be checkin and out.
What could be missing on our clients end?
Any help GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
Cam
