Hi, we are using InDesign and InCopy in a joint workflow. On one of our recent publications we have run into a strange error. We have a text that spreads across several pages (linked text frames) On page 1 the text is pretty close to overflowing to the next page. When we open the exported assignment in InCopy the last line overflows onto the next page, causing the whole layout to break. Basically the overflow pushes every last line onto the next page and nothing is the way it's meant to be any more. We were able to fix it - in this case by nudging the frame up and resizing it a tiny bit - but what good is a redactional workflow if you can't rely on the layout being identical in all cases? Has anyone ever experienced something similar? As I said, the versions are the same so there shouldn't be any differences in line breaks at all. Thanks in advance for any pointers and hints, Mike

Hi Bob, thanks for the confirmation that this is not just us. Fonts are the same, of course. Were you able to reproduce the issue - because when we deliberately tried to make it happen, it (naturally) wouldn't work... Makes it hard to file it as a bug (which it looks like for me). Cheers, Mike

It's hit or miss. It's a bug but it's very difficult to reproduce. Bob

Yes, I've seen it, no I don't know what causes it but I've only seen it on documents that were opened as assignments. Opening the InDesign file in InCopy seems to work. One other thing to make sure of is that both users have the same exact version of the fonts. Bob
