Flowing Stories between Documents

I do large catalog updates (add new products). Files are broken into 72 page documents and tied together as a book. It would be great if I could take the story from Document A and make it flow to Document B so that the text would automatically reflow as new paragraphs are added to Document A.

Just out of curiosity, why using strict 72-page documents? Why not break it down by section, eliminating the need for text to flow between documents?
