I posted this in the InDesign - Macintosh forum, but I realized it might warrant a review by the devs... ----------------- I was a little disappointed that this great workaround is now broken in CS4. For those that don't know, CS3 allowed you to create any polygon and selectively convert any of the rounded corners back to a corner point. 1. Apply corner options to a shape. 2. Using the pen tool, add a new point close to one of the corners 3. Drag the newly added point directly over top the original corner point This works great as it is still dynamic and allows you to adjust your size under Corner Options and also allows you to resize your shape without distortion. The script is nice, but it's permanent and can't be adjusted after the fact. You also need to ensure you select all the points of the corners when resizing so as not to distort the the shape. I don't like having to maintain an original copy or constantly hitting Cmd-Z and running the script over and over again. That brings me to my disappointing discovery. This little trick is BROKEN in CS4... If you attempt step 3 above, all corners of the shape adjust to match the look of the target corner. Has anyone figured out a way around this? Is there a fix in the works?
