Prevent file recovery and Open doc from Recent Doc list???

Hi,

I m using InDesign CS3 on MAC OS. I have 2 questions:

->How do i avoid a file from recovering automatically when the InDesign application is reopened after a force quit...

->I want to know if it possible to hide/disable the "Open Recent Doc" menu item under the file menu. I tried suppressing this menu by using
bool16	BscDlgSuppressedUI::IsActionHidden( ActionID action ) const
{
	switch (action.Get())
	{
		case kRecentDocsDynamicActionID:
		//case kOpenContextMenuActionID:

		return kTrue;
	}
	return kFalse;
}	

But i guess this is wrong, it doesn't work...

Someone Pls guide me in doing these....
