I needed some short-run printing (really short - 9 copies!), of an 8
page booklet (each page A4, printed onto A3, folded, stapled etc).  All
the small-run printers were very expensive (we're talking £50+), so I
talked to some ordinary printers, found one, it was a small job for him
so he did it for £12, and it turned out perfect.

The only problem was the PDF colours were screwed up, I had a black and
white image with transparency (.png), and the transparency dyed the
colour grey, in the end I got it all done in mono and it worked out
well...
