Database acces (ODBC) from an InDesign Plugin

Hi,

I'm working on a university project, where I have to link an existing
Postgresql database into InDesign. We're using a Plugin with ODBC
functions to access the DB.

The problem right now is, that there seems to be a conflict between
the project includes/libraries and the ODBC functions. The same code
for DB-access that works properly in a single project does not compile
in the Plugin project. The Compiler complains about a type mismatch in
3 ODBC functions that did not make trouble before (in the single
project).

Does anyone have experience in connecting to a database from an
Indesign Plugin (not necessarily using ODBC)?

I'm grateful for hints and help,

Ernest
