I've installed the Cross Media plugin for InDesign and went through the tutorial; it looks nice. Naturally, the documentation talks about using GoLive for dealing with the xml file when you export from ID to xml. The problem there is that GoLive can only be used as an xml editor; I need something that will apply an xsl file to the xml file and produce an html file. Everything I've read is about using xml for dynamic web pages but we don't need the overhead for that. In order to accomplish our goals we need to keep it simple for the people who will be using it so fancy web servers that do xml processing aren't what we need right now. Either I or some other programmer will do the xsl part and setting up the xml tags. The document we'd like to do this with is a small course catalog that changes once a year. What I'm looking for is a program that runs on the pc or mac that will take an xml file and xsl file and whatever else might be needed and produce html files. Does anyone have any recommendations?
