Hello everybody, yesterday I did a few trials concerning database generation of tagged text. so i exported a test text and used this example to build a template in the web scripting language PHP which queries a database, generates a file and fills it with the needed data - all on the same computer. In the end I have a tagged text file with the same header part (even the line feeds are the same) like the exported test file, but Indesign didn't recognize it as tagged text and imported it as plain text. The couriost thing is that when I'm copy the text content of the generated file in the testexport file (before that I deleted the old content), Indesign recognised it as tagged text, so the pure tagged content that I generate should be alright. Does anybody know how Indesign recognises if the text file is tagged text or not? When I import my generated file I always choose "tagged text" as file type. Kind regards, Jens
