I encounter a lot of problems when using gradients with pantone colors in ID 1.5. When I create a .ps file and distill it afterwards using pressoptimized settings, I import the .pdf file back into ID 1.5 in order to check it's color separations. Everything looks great except for the gradients. They are in CMYK modus all of a sudden. I've heard the same probleme coming from several service stations as well... Any suggestions how to solve the problem? Or is this problem solved in ID2? Please let me know...
