A little trick if you are only using spot colours. Eport a tif or eps as a Black mono file. Then use place to get the file into your doc. Then asign the graphic a spot colour from the required swatch. This way your pdf has consistent colour of text and graphics particularly with graysclae style files (eg vector art with gradients)Spot colour only of course.
