PM4 is at least 15 years old, so I hope the files are sound. All versions of PM from PM4 onwards will open PM4 files. Click File -> Open and navigate to the folder containing the PM4 file. (Copy the PM4 files/folder to a local drive first.) The usual errors during opening are missing fonts and missing images. There will be an option to find or substitute the font (not usually too serious unless it's an unusual decorative font) but the images may never be found. Sometimes there's a screen display of the image, but that will give a poor print output. You should be able to extract the text in RTF format. Best of luck. Iechyd da! John 12:20 13/10/2008 BST
