I just got a new computer with Windows 7 and have an old Pagemaker 6.0 program with and Pagemaker 7 upgrade. I want to install both so that I can get to old files. When I put in the CD to install 6.0, I get: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows that you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an X86 (32bit) or X64 (64bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher." I downloaded a program called WinHlp32.exe that I thought would help but then get the message: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows that you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an X86 (32bit) or X64 (64bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher." Is there a patch to bridge to Windows 7 or way to install my old Pagemaker on this Windows 7? I really need to get to my old files." Thanks for help from anyone who might have run into (and solved!!!) a similar problem.
