Can't open PM6.5 files with PM7.0

I have just loaded PM7.0 and can't open any of my PM6.5 files? I open the PM7.0 program and click on "File" then "Open" and select a PM6.5 file and a box pops up and says "cannot open file" with a code "8009-001". I have tried all of my 100+ PM6.5 files and get the same results. Does anyone know how to open PM6.5 files using PM7.0 ?

I forgot to mention I am using Windows - Vista operating system.

All bets are off with PM and Vista:

Either move on to InDesign or find a PC with an older version of windows.

And don't expect it to work with XP64. For 64 bit you should be using 
Vista 64.
