I have been having this problem with PDFs of charts in Excel. I'm using InDesign CS3 for the Mac. The files open fine in Acrobat, but will not place in InDesign. One solution that worked, but is suboptimal is to export the PDF file to Postscript and then redistill it. Since I often need to make simple instructions for students who need to use InDesign, this kind of problem is a real pain. Alan
