Problem viewing fields in Designer

When I open my pdf in Designer (Advanced>Forms>open in Designer) to make changes, it seems there is a background from the top of the Designer GUI behind the fields. It makes it quite hard to make changes. Any suggestions? I am using Adobe 7 and have XP.
