There is a fair bit to do... You will need to make a selection Create a new Layer Fill the selection with a colour add a mask Now you need open your document Get the layer bounds of the mask Resize image to the layer bounds Copy Image Close Image Paste in your Image above the layer with mask Merge down. That,s the simplest way I can think of.
