and thanks again. I couldn't make it work the way you suggested (if you got it working like that, I would love to know what I did wrong) but then I noticed that when I run the ScriptingListener with different patterns, there's also another part that changes in the script:
id449 = objApp.CharIDToTypeID("Idnt")
Call desc99.PutString(id449, "3df16fc5-a517-11d8-86b4-e7f432fbac1c")
and this is the part which changes in it:
"3df16fc5-a517-11d8-86b4-e7f432fbac1c"
When I change that bit in the code, it works fine. The only problem is that I don't know where else I can get that string for a pattern than running the ScriptingListener... So the way that you suggested would be a lot easier if I just got it to work. Anyway, thanks. I really appreciate your help.
