Need Help Automating Captions in File Info

I work in the photos/graphics department of a news agency. We have an average of 30+ images that we process each day. Each image has caption data that needs to be included with it in "file info". We currently write our captions in Word and then cut and paste them into the JPG files under the "file info" dialogue box in Photoshop. Does anyone know how to automate the process?
