Tom, Thank you so much for your help. Your second message gets to the heart of the problem. Recently we have been using the EOS Mark Two camera and unless we use $50. worth of duct tape to secure the firewire cable to the camera, it will disconnect. This means we end up shooting to the card and having to rename the files in Photoshop file browser. Your RCF script seems like just the ticket. I'll give it a try. Ian
