Ok, I have a template image file that has layers in the order and way i want them with some effects.

I then have a base image that has the layers with the same names, just not organized or with filters.

I search through both files and if i find a layer name that matches I want to copy the image contents of one layer to the other. My condition looks like this.

if( docRef.layers[i].name == temp.layers[j].name )
      {
         docRef.layers[i] = temp.layers[j];
      }

The assignment does not seem to be working the way i intended it to. How do i copy the image contents from one layer to another, is i guess, what I'm really after.
