Thanks Michael, you pointed me in the right direction. I had tried providing just one of the two parameters as the second error message indicated, but I just realized that it needs both parameters, one just has to be set to nothing. The following code appears to work.

objPhotoshopApp = New Photoshop.Application
if objPhotoshopApp.ColorSettings <> "Friesens_Yearbook_Custom_Color_Settings" then
   objPhotoshopApp.ChangeColorSettings(Nothing, "C:\Friesens_Yearbook_Custom_Color_Settings.csf")
end if
