Another way I found while looking online is to create a batch file from this script, run it, and delete it when done. Code looks like this:
// build batch file
var bat = new File("/c/updateAdobeScripts.bat");
bat.open("w");
bat.writeln("echo off");
bat.writeln("Cls");
bat.writeln("echo +--------------------------------------------+");
bat.writeln("echo | |");
bat.writeln("echo | Running a script |");
bat.writeln("echo | |");
bat.writeln("echo +--------------------------------------------+");
bat.writeln("echo.");
bat.writeln("echo User path is:");
bat.writeln("echo.");
bat.writeln("echo c:\\Documents and Settings\\%USERNAME%\\My Document\\Adobe");
bat.writeln("pause");
bat.close();
// run batch file
bat.execute();
bat.remove();// deletes file,
