Try to use an unique font for this template text and turn off kerning (if that is possible with your application). Then see if the template string reads like (CLIENT_NAME).

If not - sigh. collecting snippets to words in the general case could only be done - if at all - by PostScript routines; these usually are some 500 lines of code (I've done several).
