Sorry, I don't follow this. How can definining the target space also
define the source space? Surely the input could be NTSC RGB, Apple
RGB, Adobe RGB (1998), wide gamut RGB, BruceRGB, PAL/SECAM RGB, Kodak
Open Interchange RGB, sRGB, your personal monitor RGB, or any other
RGB, and the transformation must therefore be dependent on the source
space. Each RGB has a characteristic set of primaries, white and
black point, matrixes and gamma.

Except for a mention of sRGB, and an occasional mention of NTSC
primaries, your document - valuable and thorough as it is - doesn't
really seem to accomodate the reality of many different RGB spaces,
and indeed suggests that there is a single RGB to XYZ transformation.

It may be that there is more to the term "Standard Primaries r,g,b" in
chapter 5 than I understand, but I feel you should define to the
reader what Standard you have adopted.
