Hey Aandi,
I belong to a research field and am interested in the different methods to change the output by tranfer functions.
I have written a setgray tranfer function. A much simpler version of my tranfer function is as followed:
/NEWsetgray {setgray} bind def
/setgray {0.5 exp NEWsetgray } def
I have included these two lines at the beginning of PS files and the output was changed to a lighter one as desired.
I have indluded these two lines also in the startup directory of the Adobe Acrobat Distiller and the output was changed as well.
Now I am interested in including these two lines in the PPD file of the printer and to see the effect.
I also like to see the effect of saving these two lines directly in the printer memory, maybe using exitserver operator and changing statusdict.
Micky
