I am experiencing a similar problem with the document sets that I print. I routinely receive PDF files averaging 130 pages in length that alternate between a few pages of letter size and a few pages of legal. Using the "Choose tray by PDF page size" option, all pages print using the PDF page size of the first page in the print range. I end up spending a lot of time printing each set because I need to send it in alternating batches consisting of a single page size within each.

Why can't Adobe make it so that the printer will alternate page sizes appropriately, or, failing that, at least automate the process of sending these multiple batches? When I receive document sets in other formats that use proprietary programs to print, they have no trouble running the entire print job alternating the trays appropriately.

Thanks!
