The Postscript Reference Manual states that the > must immediately follow the ~ in a postscript output BUT it also states that white space characters e.g. carriage returns should be ignored. Our application (SAP R/3) produces files where very occasionally the ~ is the 80th character on the line and hence a carriage return is between the ~ and the subsequent >. Depending upon how you interpret the reference manual this is either acceptable or not. I really need a black and white answer form Adobe on this one to resolve whether Konica or SAP need to resolve this issue. Adobe Reader certainly handles this character placement correctly as do HP printers but Konica printers need the carriage return removed. Any help much appreciated Regards Andrew Peatling andrew.peatling@adesisolutions.com +61 419962247
