Thanks for that - Distiller is getting to a point and then getting stuck - have left running for 24 hours and not gone any further.

Don't know if it's of help or not but Illy and P/Shop both open the files for other seperations of the problem map fine and also the problem seperations of other maps which are created exactly the same way (page size settings etc).
