the postscript file is being generated by the Unisys Hermes newspaper system. The reason I want to remove the pdfmarks is that I only want these pdfs for printing and archiving. these errors happen to maybe 2 or 4 pages of a 90 page edition. this seems to be random, there are some pages that have the same amount of photos or graphics as the failed ones but distill fine. the only pages that always distill correctly are ones with no photos or graphics on them which leads me to believe that the cause is the photos or graphics. the photos are processed with PS7 and CS. the graphics are done in Ill 10. thanks in advance for your help.
