If you look into the PPDs of both the Lexmark and the Xerox printer, you'll probably notice that the "ImageableArea" on the Xerox printer equals the respective page sizes but is decreased by certain margins on the Lexmark printer. It may be that the latter is configured to do a shrink to fit by default.
