has anyone any idea how I create a downloadable font for an MSDOS based system. There is one already in the postscript file (Compacta Plain) but it needs changing to Franklin Gothic Heavy. The font informtion is contained between "CurrentFile eexec" and "clear to mark". Any help or where to look much appreciated.

Hi Gavin, Time ago Adobe distributes (free) a tool called: PSDOWN.EXE This downloader works with DOS systems for sending .PS (files) and .PFB (fonts) to PS interpreter (printers, RIP's ...). If do you need this tool (seeks first in adobe.com) I pressume don't have any problem to redistribute for you this old tool. Hope this helps, ... The font is actually rather larger than that, starts a few lines earlier. You can use any font in PFA format to substitute. Aandi Inston
