Hi All, I have written a utility which generates PS files from PPML file. While generating main PS file I copy the eps file contents and put them in main PS file. As my eps files are big in size (approx. 50 MB +) the copying of eps to PS is taking lot of time. Is there any other way to create main PS file without copying the eps file, means I can just refer the eps file location in main PS file, and it should start working. I am using ghostscript to check my PS file output.I am using postscript language 2. Thanks, abdul

The PS interpreter needs access to some sort of disk to store the eps
files. This varies widely on printers. The path name is in the format
of the OS that the interpreter runs on.
Linux/Unix
(/home/jeffrey/pictureone.eps) run
VMS
(CLIP_ART:pictureone.eps) run
Virus compatible OS
(C:\\somedir\\pictureone.eps) run
Note that a "\" for windows needs to be doubled up.
Also an eps should be surrounded by a BeginEPSF and an EndEPSF like so:
/BeginEPSF {
/b4_Inc_state save def
/dict_count countdictstack def
/op_count count 1 sub def
userdict begin
/showpage {} def
0 setgray 0 setlinecap 1 setlinewidth 0 setlinejoin
10 setmiterlimit [] 0 setdash newpath
/languagelevel where
{ pop languagelevel 1 ne
{ false setstrokeadjust false setoverprint } if
} if
} bind def
/EndEPSF {
count op_count sub {pop} repeat
countdictstack dict_count sub {end} repeat
b4_Inc_state restore
} bind def
BeginEPSF X Y translate SX SY scale (pictureone.eps) run EndEPSF
